Defining Traits: His chin length blonde hair and blue eyes. Personality Personality: Stefan has been asking himself for years, the "what the hell is wrong with me" question. He always thought maybe he was crazy, but it wasn't impairing him so it didn't bother him. If he can, he uses people like toys even when he knows that he shouldn't. He's been cruel to people who have offended him in the past. But on the whole, he's the most charming person he thinks he's ever met. He's a fun kind of person. Except he doesn't trust his friends. He doesn't tell them anything personal. But he reads them like a book, from body language to facial expressions to verbal cues. Though, there are certain people he cannot completely understand; people safe from him. He's not touched by friendship, but he feels like he should feel honored or some such thing. He feels a vague satisfaction if his enemies cry out of despair or sadness. Later on he doesn't feel guilty for feeling that way. In the past he's even tried to feel guilty for using people like that's the reason they're in his life. But he can't think of another use for them. If they can't benefit him in some way, why would he want them around? All those attempts at true remorse have failed. He can produce tears at will, muster up enough emotion to put it on his face, and watch other people believe him. At some point in his life he's sure he's lied to just about everyone he knows. He gets bored, also. He tries to find almost any way out of this boredom. It makes him feel like he's stagnating or something horrific like that. He can just see the rust forming in his brain. What bothers him is that he's such a chameleon that he doesn't even know who he is, or what kind of person he is. If he has to introduce himself, he'll have to generate a fake persona and become that persona. He has so many masks they help him ace interviews and make friends wherever he finds people. Sometimes he feels like he's not even a real person. Just a collection of interchangeable personalities. And an unshakable coldness that seems to form the core of who he is. He feels like this should upset him much, but what he's concerned with is that it doesn't. Shouldn't it? When someone asks him if he feels guilty, or if he wants to apologize, he always feels like saying, "should I?" Strengths: Assertive. Able to stay eerily calm in spite of circumstances. Does not procrastinate. Tends to focus on the positive. Doesn't beat himself up if things go wrong, even if he's to blame. The ability and willingness to use others around him to personal gain. Doesn't give a tiny rat's ass about what the society thinks. Weaknesses: Overconfidence in himself. Belief that he is never wrong. The inability to understand the feelings of others. Battle Style: He chooses Pokémon who don't share common weaknesses. He always tries to use a move that matches the type of the user to get a power up.  He tries to fit moves on his Pokémon that can hit his opponent's Pokémon’s weaknesses. The weather is another element of the playing field he can change besides stats. It can play a critical role in deciding who wins and who loses. There are a few status conditions that a Pokémon can have at a time, the ones that vanish after switching out. He can combine a bunch of these moves together with an actual status condition. Background History: Stefan is a rare case. He is the way he is because he is the way he is. His parents divorced when he was 16. A week after the divorce his parents died: murder-suicide. His dad lost it, he killed his ex-wife, the murder drove him madder, so he killed himself. Stefan didn't give a shit, he just can't. Relatives offered him shelter, but he refused. He wanted an adventure for the hell of it. He survived 31 days and nights using nothing but Craigslist. He relied on the online classified ads website for food, shelter, transportation, and friends. Over the course of Stefan's adventures, he has met dozens of colorful characters. Some were friendly and helpful, opening their homes to him; others were completely crazy. He found himself in several hilarious and bizarre situations. He saw a woman performing an eerie ritual in her kitchen; he hitched a ride with a man who kept a giant Pidgeot in his car. But Stefan has a phone and a laptop by his side the entire time, both of which he stole by force from someone. And that's how he communicates with his relatives. He also has a toothbrush and clothes with him. His intelligence during his quixotic quest helped protect him. When he got bored of his adventures he decided it's time to go home to one of his relatives. Stefan chose to live with his wealthy 97 years old grandfather. The elderly man lived with three servants and a personal nurse until Stefan came along. Two months after he moved in, the old man died of old age and passed his wealth on to Stefan. That was Stefan's purpose all along: move in knowing grandpa will give him his wealth. The day after the burial, he sent the servants and the nurse away and lived in the same house. He had more money than what he needed for the next four years. He spent his money on women and pursued other hobbies. As the days went on, he realized that all that money can still bore the hell out of him. It didn't take long before he got bored of his lifestyle. Then Stefan wondered how being a Trainer would be like. He delved into Pokémon Training and what the hell, he went for it. Defining Moments: Lived off Craigslist for one crazy month. Inherited grandpa's wealth - exactly as darkly planned. Experienced a life with virtually unlimited resources. Other Information I want to steer people away from labeling Stefan as a sociopath, I call it a "reductive label." I want people to realize that the problem isn't him. The problem is the world, the society that created him and rewards him.
