Defining Traits: Personality Personality: A conversation with Eelis is one that usually does not last very long; though it is not due to being shy. He seems to be constantly moving. He prefers actually doing things rather than thinking about what to do. In terms of hobbies, Eelis enjoys exploring. He often goes swimming as well. Not just at the beach. He's made a habit of swimming under tough conditions. As a result, he's become quite capable of swimming through strong currents and cold conditions. This is not entirely for enjoyment, however. He also has a fear of drowning, but rather than avoiding water, he is doing his best to prepare for any such event. He hates hot days, and often lacks any motivation to do anything on those days. He shows little care for authority. In both speech and action, he often forgets about formalities. He is quick witted, though it causes him more trouble than good. The decisions he makes tend to be impulsive with little thought to potential consequence. That being said, when he takes the time to think, which he rarely does, he's able to come up with very systematic solutions to problems. Background History: Eelis' life has been thoroughly boring. Or at least that's always how he's seen it. One of the first proverbs he'd learned growing up was that the love of money was the root of all evil. He was born into a rich family, so he grew up conflicted over the idea. His father owned an entire branch for a shipping company. A typical day had no lack of foghorns which luckily have not yet damaged his hearing. Being in a rich family, Eelis was also put into a decent school. The library was conveniently quiet, even with the foghorns, so he did all his studying there. More than often, however, he'd find a book that was totally unrelated to his studies and read that. While he got high marks in his classes, he didn't really show much interest at all. Often, his whole family would be at sea on the cargo ships. On one of these trips, a delinquent child accidentally pushed Eelis off the boat. This was how he learned how to swim. Though he'd been quickly rescued, the moment had been a great scare to him, and it caused him to tirelessly train himself as a swimmer. Later, Eelis decided that he wanted to leave home. He wanted more out of his life than simply pursuing money, as he'd always thought it to be evil. Not really asking for their permission, he simply told them about his decision and left. Defining Moments: -Eelis was pushed off a ship, from where he learned how to swim. Other Information From his time spent swimming, Eelis has an increased capacity for holding his breath underwater and efficiently using oxygen.
