A Gamer's Beginning [Acel Bryce's First Thread/Open] GVHqj2H

//"And so... The 'game' has finally begun."//

The girlish looking boy said quietly as he carefully disembarked the boat he had road all the way from Kalos. It had been a, quite frankly, tedious and not overly fun way to find himself in Johto, however, a plane would have been too quick and wouldn't have left him enough time to test the few new programs he had invented before leaving his family. Luckily, his machine was quite safe in this boat. He could make it sort of a 'home base' he could come back too if necessary. A floating estate of his own. A Bryce regardless of status always had the perks of their name.

//"Now, what to do first... Ah, yes, transportation on land and a pokemon..."// the boy would say idly before tapping his tablet with the stylus pen. Almost immediately a rather large man came from the boat, carrying with him a motorized scooter. Now, of course the boy wouldn't walk everywhere across Johto. Asking that much from a person of his stature would be absurd. After all, if the only thing he had from his family was forms of transformation, might as well abuse this asset as much as possible.

//"Thank you, Jeffery. And a pokemon?"// the boy would ask before being handed a pokeball. He raised a brow at it before picking it up, his tablet springing to life on its own accord as a face similar to the girlish looking boy's spoke to him. It was a pleasant, cute voice, but one that was obviously pixelated and robotic. The boy didn't seem to mind though, why would he? This voice was the closest thing to him.

//"Oh oh! Master, that is a porygon! A man made pokemon that is made out of data. I chose him out for you personally, I found it matched your personality the best!"// the small voice would say, causing the boy to raise a brow. While yes, a man made pokemon made from data did seem to suit the boy, porygon weren't know for their grace... They were quite an eye sore in the real world, to be honest, making it an odd choice.

//"Oh dear... Well, at least it will be a most interesting companion... However..."// the boy would trail off. Honestly, he wanted to test out how strong it was and what it capabilities were before leaving the port. This was a city, after all. A pokecenter would be near by if the thing injured itself and what more could he ask for in such a lively city? Preparations would have to be made as the boy put on his rather cute persona. Time to find a willing participant to aid him in this trial...

(Sorry for the wait! I'm taking this!~)

The boy probably knew what he now wielded - a man-made pokemon made entirely out of code. Little more than a machine, with predictable patterns and logical behavior. Something which knew neither emotion nor thought. A void as far as life was concerned. But there were things even Acel couldn't predict.

He would have to exit his safe zone, and venture into the forest to find the opponent he seeked. The forbidding terrain hid all kinds of treasures; it was teeming with wildlife, and even some rare pokemon and unexpected encounters. This was how it was - very few would leave the protection of the shielding shrubbery to outright provoke the male - who stood beside a large transporting machine, no less!

But every now and then, some did not exhibit regular behavior. Some that went against their very core instinct, defied the principles that governed survival for the forest-dwellers; with the sheen and glint of metal, a Klink revealed itself, looking directly at the boy. Well, as much as it could, anyway. Constantly rotating, it was questionable whether the thing on its side was a face or not. It had pushed itself out from a bush, the foliage rustling and parting to allow the Gear through. If Acel looked close enough, something else was visible in the foliage...

Klink. If the young analyst were to ponder over it, the similarities between his potential foe and his partner would be quite evident. Naturally, being a machine, or as close to it as one could get, it was quite an unusual find in the forest. If he were to send out his Porygon to oppose the silver pokemon, Porygon's Special Attack would suddenly rise, owing to its ability, Download.

Sadly, it seemed the city was rather barren at the present day and no one was willing to have a simple and quick battle. With a most unhappy look on the girlish looking boy's face, he'd promptly return to his home base of sorts, mounting atop the motorized scooter and leaving the city for a bit. Quite frankly, trainers would be out in the wilds, yes? Perhaps he'd find someone willing to battle.

The forest was quite quiet, in general, his scooter's hum being the only thing that caught the boy's attention. There really wasn't much to look at... It was a forest. Quite quaint and dull and not full of purpose. The boy would stop after a while of staring at nothing but trees, quite upset at the lack of anything here. It was so dull... He'd sigh and lean against the scooter, a steady hand holding onto his stylus as he tapped away at the tablet in his hand. What to do what to do...

Well, eventually, a pokemon would seem to find its way out into the path the boy had stopped on. A most interesting find to boot. With a half glance at the pokemon, the boy would stand upright and step a little closer. It was a Klink? Why was this here...

//"Oh oh! Master! That is a Kl-"//" the AI would say before the boy would hush it. He was focusing on it quite intently. Why was a pokemon native to Unova here? It didn't take a rocket scientist to know most non-natural pokemon didn't exist in the very natural region of Johto. With a sigh and a shake of the boy's head, he'd smirk.

//"Two possibilities have been presented with this most interesting find's appearance. One, he is the pokemon of a trainer from Unova. Two, I may have stumbled upon a very rare find..."// the boy would say with a light flick of his wrist. He'd grab the pokeball that was attached to the satchel he had currently over his shoulder.

//"Let us begin! Porygon, show me how much you are worth!"//

The boy would say as he tossed the pokeball forward, Porygon sprining out in a flash of blue light. It'd spin its leg... Flipper(?) things as it stared blankly at its target... So not graceful... This would be an interesting fight indeed. At least its ability was quite strong.

//"Starting battle analysis program... Processing... Battle analysis program has started. Analysis in progress. You can do it, Master! And remember the pokeballs you have!"// the AI would say in its cheery and happy voice, the boy nodding his head idly as he stared at the Klink. Now, the boy supposed a move was in order, correct?

//"Moves... Ah, yes. This will do nicely against something so defensive... Porygon, listen to my commands carefully. Use Sharpen!"// the boy would say in an authorial voice, the pokemon promptly using the move as its jagged edges would become sharper and more fearsome looking. Hm... Now to see how the Klink would act against such a show of aggression.

The wayward roadside the wild pokemon had seemingly chosen to ambush the trainer was forlorn and remote...was this pokemon capable of forming strategic thoughts? Could it transcend beyond its base instinct? Whatever be the case, the two pokemon faced down each other, opponents in equal standing. Klink was attached to technology in a much different way than Porygon, but that did not mean it possessed any less intelligence.

As the pinkish Virtual pokemon began Sharpening itself in preparation for a showdown, the Steel type responded in crackling with electricity; a threat. It began Charging up its power, causing it to become more defensive than ever. After having set up, it rushed forward in a tackling movement, to attempt and squeeze the Normal type in a Vice Grip.

Quite frankly, with how bulky and odd a proygon was shaped, it wouldn't really be able to dodge the attack. It would take it head on, but, with such a close range between the two, the next combo would be quite hard for the kling to dodge. A beautiful set up.

//"Porygon! Conversion Two! Then, tackle!""//

The girlish looking boy would command, the porygon promptly targeting the klink to change its type before going in for a head on tackle. Again, with the close range the two were currently in with each other, the kling would be hard pressed to dodge the attack from the fairly large in comparison porygon. However, noting was set in stone... Acel was simply happy the combo had gone off flawlessly.

As the Klink crashed with a resounding Clang! (Hehe :P) it simply bounced off, nonplussed at the Porygon's lack of response. Only until it did in fact, actually retaliate, that is. Though Steel types were renowned for their defense, this Klink was evidently young, flying back several feet from the force of the impact. That Tackle hurt a surprising amount - and it stood to reason. After all, Conversion 2 had converted Porygon into the Rock type! With a clash of steel - if sounds could sound determined, it would have - the Gear attempted a second ViceGrip.
