Kayla Violet
Core Information Name: Kayla Violet Nickname/Alias: Age: 11 Gender: Female Birthplace: Alamos Town Trainer Classification: Adventurer Character Tracker: Physical Attributes Height: 4’ 7" Weight: 80.8 lbs Appearance: (Image was made by a close friend for me to use, though not originally intended for use here) Defining Traits: There is a scar on her forehead, visible in the image Personality Personality: Kayla is a very careful person who avoids human interaction. Due to her past, she has grown to care for Pokémon deeply, and loves all of them. Her love for Pokémon drives her to try to help any that she can. She doesn’t care much for people, however, mostly due to her time away from them. This leads her to a distrust in others saying they care for Pokémon, and she generally refuses to be around anyone who uses Pokéballs a lot. She doesn't interact well with the few people she's willing to try to, either. She doesn’t care how she looks either, which often leads to her wearing the same clothes for long periods of time. Kayla’s dream is for people and Pokémon to live together without conflict beyond sport. She also hates Pokéballs, and the idea of keeping Pokémon in them annoys her to no end. She, as a child, fails to understand many important things in life. However, she wants to learn as much as she can about people, Pokémon, and the world they live in. She loves the idea of Pokémon Contests and has always dreamed of seeing one. She believes that the younger trainers are better people, as they are more open to listen to her ideas. Kayla loves to eat with friends(Pokémon), and doesn’t mind being outdoors. She loves to cook for Pokémon, and doesn’t care much for the idea of Pokémon battling unless it’s necessary. She’s also afraid of Dragon- and Fire-type Pokémon, and dislikes the idea of human-based technology to help Pokémon, such as potions and revives. She also often fails to know her way around, and gets lost easily with her not so great sense of direction. Due to the loss of her parents and friends, Kayla is usually afraid to make attachments, as she worries that they'll be taken away from her. Strengths: Fast runner, great cook, caring toward Pokémon Weaknesses: Uncaring toward people, poor sense of direction, doesn’t understand life, obvious failures at general communication and conveying herself to others Battle Style: Kayla’s battle style is focused around retaining the least damage possible to her team. She aims for high-damaging moves, and tries to keep her Pokémon as healthy as possible. The only items she uses in battle are natural ones, unless the situation requires a man-made item. Background History: Kayla was born in Alamos Town in the Sinnoh region, and her parents did their best to raise her. She had done well at learning many of the things she was taught, but never really cared about learning. She loved hearing about and seeing Pokémon Contests on TV, and originally dreamed of becoming the best Coordinator in the world. However, when she was 6, her parents went missing one summer day. When a search team went to find them in the forest near town, she followed them secretly. She ended up getting lost, and was alone for almost 12 hours before a Plusle and a Minun showed up. The search team did not know she had followed them, and though they tried, they failed to find her either. The two Pokémon found her berries to eat, and showed her a thick portion of the forest, enough so for her to sleep under the trees. She struggled to make it there, however, and nearly collapsed as they arrived. For the next few days, she was taught where berries were and grew to understand what Plusle and Minun were saying. The Plusle and Minun seemed to be concerned for Kayla, and she cared very much for them. The three tried to find Alamos Town several times, however gave up after weeks of searching with no success. She helped them and they helped her, and she slowly forgot all about her hometown and earlier years. She ran quite a bit to keep up with them, building speed and stamina that could come to help her later in life. The 3 would explore and look for places to play and eat and sleep. They met all kind of Pokémon over the years, who she also learned to understand the best she could, though she couldn’t understand all. Many of the Pokémon either scared her or were scared of her at first, but she was able to gain their trust and give hers fairly quickly. There was an Eevee that stayed playing with them for almost a month one time, until a trainer came and caught it, leaving Kayla, Plusle, and Minun helpless to save it. Not much happened during her life, however one day, a fire nearly burned down a portion of forest she had been planning to sleep that night, started by a Pokémon battle between a Charizard and a Garchomp. During the battle, she was nearly trapped under a tree, and while narrowly avoiding it, she was cut by falling pieces and branches from various trees and rocks around her, leaving a scar on her forehead. After witnessing the battle and the destruction and pain it caused, to those involved and not involved, she began to hate people who used Pokémon uncaringly like that. They loved to travel and help Pokémon whenever possible, so they never really made a permanent home. As for times people came to help Kayla, she would simply tell them she wasn't lost and was on her way home. She had to convince the ones that didn't believe her sometimes, which wasn't always easy. Their idea of never making a permanent home changed one day. Shortly after she turned 9, she found a small town with her Pokémon friends, where the 3 lived just outside of for over a year, and she visited and learned to cook and brought Plusle and Minun food. For a long time, Kayla was taught things she never could've learned in the forest. After nearly 2 whole years, her Pokémon friends went missing overnight, just like her parents. She spent almost 2 months searching the forest and everywhere she knew for them, but was unsuccessful in finding any sign of them. She returned to the small town and asked for a ride to Alamos Town, where she decided to search for her Pokémon friends, the ones that saved her. This brings us to what happens here….. Defining Moments: -Kayla is born in Alamos Town -Her parents disappear at age 6 -She gets lost in an attempt to find her parents -Kayla is saved by a wild Plusle and Minun -Kayla lives in the forest for years -She witnesses a Pokémon battle that causes destruction and pain, leading to a fear and hatred that she would never lose -Her, Plusle, and Minun come across a town and live near it for 1 year and 9 months -Plusle and Minun disappear -Kayla searches for nearly 2 months, but finds no trace -Kayla returns to Alamos town Other Information Kayla can understand most Pokémon, due to constant communication with different Pokémon. |

Pokémon Pokémon: Deino Nickname: Gender: Female Personality: Headstrong, impulsive, stubborn, and fond of loudly proclaiming its indignation, which has a hair-line trigger, this Deino can be quite the handful! It can often be found headbutting or running into things, and it can take quite some guidance, persuasion and patient perseverance to get it under control. But despite this, it has a big heart and lots of love to give. Despite being blind, it can sense and deeply appreciate kind feelings, and will nuzzle those close to it. Keep at it! --- Original Trainer: Kayla Violet Ability: Hustle Level: 5 Moveset: Tackle, Dragon Rage, Focus Energy, Ice Fang [EM] Happiness: 0 Exp: 0 |

Fluff I lost the pokemon I typed up for you
Here's a revamp!
Kayla, like most, seeks for something. Family. What she seeks, and what she'll find - will it be the same? Only one way to find out, but maybe she doesn't have to do it alone. Perhaps one of these can assist her, join her, hold her together through the tough times...
Deino
This aggressive yet lovable pokemon shares its determined personality with the adventurer it may travel with. Its blindness ensures that all receive equal treatment, something Kayla might learn from. Its evolutions gain an extra head each, propagating Kayla’s belief of harmony and living together peacefully – multiple brains in one body! Squabbles are imminent, but at the end of the day, you’re bound together. And a Dragon type to boot! While both have much to learn from each other, maybe this potential companion can root the child’s fear out.
Cubone
Cubone and Kayla are alike. Both search for kith and kin. Something to call family. Though their callings are different, the goals are similar. Perhaps the two can find companionship in each other, both having known the pain of loss and the bite of loneliness. As such, it isn’t difficult to visualize a deep, understanding bond between the two.
Scraggy
A pokemon just as scruffy as its potential partner, the two will certainly laze around all day! Scraggy’s love brawling, and its impulsive and headstrong behaviour, while unpredictable and somewhat uncontrollable, isn’t a bad thing to have by your side in a pinch. Scraggy are somewhat curious themselves, offering Kayla a partner in figuring out the world in their own ways.
Happiny
Despite qualifying as a baby pokemon, Happiny love taking care of other pokemon, offering gentle care and sweet company. They are also incredibly affectionate, and share the same intensity of love towards others as Kayla does. Being both female, and young, ensures that a strong feeling of kinship may exist between adventurer and pokemon. Happiny also have the affinity for healing, rather than battling, much like the human it may travel with.
Nosepass
A built-in compass in a walking rock may just be what Kayla needs. Nosepass’ excellent sense of direction can help with the tendency of getting lost, while its void of emotion matches Kayla’s sentiments. A sturdy body ensures that it makes a good tactical choice as well, taking less damage and getting by on minimal care.
Magnemite
An electric pokemon connected to technology is perfect for connecting dots. While its typing binds it to Kayla’s past, the technology will connect her to modern civilization. Magnemites, like Kayla, don’t care much for interaction, human or pokemon! It’d be perfectly content with Kayla’s reclusive style, and offer a sturdy support at every step. Known for being naturally defensive, and an immunity to one of the most crippling types offers a reliable partner for travelling.Fluttershy wrote:So this was hard, and took me a few hours to pick, but I think that because of her fear of Dragon types, Deino would make for an...interesting adventure for her, to say the least.
