Viridian City, one week after the events in Hearthome city

"Ah, it's good to be back," Felix sighed, while watching out of the window of the boss' place in Viridian city. His gaze went through the street below, looking at the people down below, the cars and cyclists. So many people with pokemon going on with their measly, pathetic daily lives, never searching for that greater purpose or ambition. Such pitiful beings they were; the ordinary people. Heinrich Glassner, the man that had taught felix most of his financial tricks, employed him in various stages of his grand operation, was different though. That man was a smart and cunning example of an ambitious businessman, one who would pursue his ambition without hesitation or preparation. As a mentor, he was irreplaceable and had managed to turn a genius like Felix Leonis into a valuable asset for his operation, but thanks to his shrewdness the man knew that he in turn was being used by Felix just as well. "So you want me to start up an operation and sneak into THAT organization with your blessing. As a freelance agent for them...I see. That means I'll have to build up a certain reputation. I can live with that, but you'll owe me."

Felix turned his head to the left, looking straight into the cold, almost inhuman eyes of the man bearing the name Heinrich Glassner. Even now, he could still feel the chills run down his spine when looking at that man's smile and odd composure. No one had managed to get under Felix' skin like Herr Glassner could, but still the masked man respected this powerful figure in the world of business and crime. He might've been 'just' an executive in THAT organization, but he was possibly wealthier and more powerful than the director himself.

"Fine by me," Felix smiled when he looked outside again, this time no longer with the disdain towards those regular folks down below, but with an air of ambition and perseverance. He would do his job perfectly and build up a reputation that none could deny or defy, that was now his goal. "I reckon it's the same appartment as usual and still the same hotelrooms in the other cities? Good, than I will take my leave now, Herr Glassner. I will await your calls and update you with my progress."

With all that in mind, the masked man took his leave and went down the building, looking at the businessmen and traders, all acting like addicted gamblers with an expression filled with pity and disgust. "The dregs of society, squandering all their fortune just for that one percent chance to ever end up wealthier than when they entered. Poor sobs don't know the truth about business or gambling: the House always wins in the end."

As he walked outside, Felix released furfrou from it's confinement in the pokeball and stroked the beautiful pokemon's fur for a moment. "Since we're here, why not see if we can find a training field with some trainers, you'll need to be stronger if we want to build up a reputation."

(I realize you changed some words, but it doesn't explain why people are gambling in Viridian xD or why there's a casino there. You derp~)

Much to the Absol's chagrin, Eve had been whining throughout the journey - and it was a long journey indeed, for she'd chosen to walk around the forest, clinging to the outskirts. It was definitely not the short way, and the ambitious teen's renewed vigor was dampened by the fact that her mother insisted that, 'though she had a pokemon of her own to protect her now, being in sight of the nearby town, Viridian, would ensure her safety, and put her mind at ease'. The grumbling female sat down for the millionth time, complaining about aching feet. "Urgh, it's so bright too," She winced up at the sunlight, beating down mercilessly on her bare head; she much preferred the secluded shade of the forest, filtering through lilting leaves. Sighing, she turned to look at the town - she was at an elevated level, and had a perfect birds-eye view of the dwelling. "Pretty, isn't it?" Abyss didn't respond; he was too busy staring at a white scrap on the town floor. A pokemon wielding white fur, much like himself.

While taking his Furfrou for a walk through the city, Felix couldn't refrain from at least smiling a bit. It was after all a good day for him and with the sun shining, people could see how elegant his fufrou was. he had not forgotten to bring the chansey though, since she could be useful to aid Furfrou whenever necessary or act as a strong deterrent for weaker pokemon and weaker trainers.

"Oh..."the masked man suddenly exclaimed, as he laid eyes upon quite a beautiful example of an Absol, with a rather pathetic looking girl nearby. That girl was obviously the trainer, a kid by all means. The expression on her face made Felix wonder if such kids were even fit to be trainers in the first place. He had heard of it, young kids thinking they could travel the world and claim that they were pokémon masters or anything like that.

Quite frankly, the very thought, made him chuckle softly. Pointing out to Furfrou to behave, the masked man walked up towards the young girl, giving her a smile and a courteous bow, taking off his feathered hat in the process. "What is a lovely young lady such as yourself doing here so close to the forest all by yourself?"

[Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den Empty Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den

Eve pushed away Abyss' head, the Absol curiously sniffing at her bag as she searched for a bottle of water. It wasn't hard, quite frankly - her bag was full of them! But she was looking for a different bottle, one she had packed herself. It didn't contain water, Arceus, no. She had enough of that. This one contained some lemonade that she'd managed to smuggle out of the kitchen. It tasted more like berry juice, but it was sweet enough for her liking, and that was all she wanted.

She'd only just unscrewed the cap and taken a sip when she was approached by someone, the silhouette casting a shadow on her. She knew her eyes and Abyss' alike were on the man who stood before her. On a whim, she decided she wasn't quite sure about him. He was a stranger, who had approached her seemingly on a whim as well, and while his smile was kind and bow, courteous, his eyes were sharp and his demeanor...condescending. Not to mention his odd fashion sense.

The cap found the mouth of the bottle again as she shut the bottle, getting to her feet - well, it would have been rude to remain sitting when she was just bowed to! She tilted her head, to indicate she was curious, but didn't return the smile. "Me?" She cast a quick glance to confirm he was, in fact, speaking to her. "I live around here. I was on my way to the Professor's Lab." She could feel Abyss pressing against her leg, piercing red eyes staring up at her; why was he staring at her? He should be staring at this man before them. Looking around him, she noted he seemed to be in the company of a Furfrou. He was certainly not a native; Furfrou were not from Kanto. "And who, if I may ask, are you? You're not from around here." Even as she spoke, she winced. Diplomacy was never one of her strong points.

While he made his bow, showing her his smile, his eyes peered at her with quite some intensity. he wondered how she had managed to get such a beautiful and elegant pokemon in her possession. Was she perhaps from a wealthy family, indulging her with such a marvelous Absol or was it something else?

"That pokémon, it"s an Absol right? The cataclysm pokémon?" Felix loved that nickname for the Absol, for even cataclysms could be beautiful and elegant, such as watching a supernova expand through a telescope, millions of lightyears away. "It is quite the stunning example...may I ask how you managed to acquire it?"

In the meantime it seemed that furfrou wasn't all that happy with the fact that its master was showing so much interest in what Furfrou could only see as a rival pokémon. Felix's companion started glaring at the Absol, bearing its teeth and ruffling its fur to show it was not accustomed to having its master look at other pokemon with such intensity.

Eve was taken aback when the male didn't answer her question, instead countering with one of his own. His attention was entirely garnered by Abyss, who was now staring with little concern at Furfrou, who seemed to be growling and bristling. While she would have loved to answer him - she liked talking about Abyss, edging on rambling about him - seeing that her own enquiry was side-lined, she was not entitled to answer him. Instead, she tried diverting.

"Abyss? He's known as the Disaster pokemon," she corrected mildly, "although they don't really cause mishanters, you know." However, she opportunistically grabbed the time she gained by the man appraised her Absol, to study him closer. He was much older to her, about ten years, she'd say. He carried himself with an air of ease and practically exuded confidence. A very self-assured man; she wasn't sure whether to be wary of him or admire him.

Abyss was unperturbed by Furfrou trying to stare him down. When it came to unwavering gazes, Absol really topped the list. With the same air of calmness as the red-decked male before him, he scrutinized the white-furred canine with clinical interest.

"Quite the name for such a pokémon," The masked man smiled gently at the young girl, though not without glancing at the Absol yet again. "Interesting name to give to such a pokémon. Calling it Abbys, another name for an endless pit of darkness...it fits a pokemon of its type, who shines with an elegance so graceful as the name you have granted it."

Felix noticed Furfrou's agitation, the growing anger it seemed to show and quickly placed his hand upon the pokémon's head. It seemed Furfrou did feel this, but it did not give up on glaring at the Absol.

"Well girl, that is indeed true" The masked man replied, commenting her on her knowledge behind her pokemon's name and fame around the world. "I am admittedly quite jealous, an Absol is one of those pokemon people like me desire. Their grace and elegance are hard to ignore for those that admire beauty such as myself."

Bending through his knees, Felix tried to look straight into Abyss' eyes, his own cold blue orbs reaching for the Absol's red eyes. "Do you wish to become strong, girl? For this pokémon does seem to have the potential."

[Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den Empty Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den

"..." Eve remained silent, growing increasingly uncomfortable in the male's presence. Not only did he seem to be talking to himself, ignoring her completely - What was he, a PokeManiac? - he seemed more interested in Absol than most. What sort of a conversation was this? He asked question after question, and provided few answers of his own. She stiffly considered providing him with her name, just to prevent him from calling her 'girl', but seeing that he probably wouldn't return the formality, she kept her peace.

Abyss' gaze shifted smoothly from the Furfrou's to the man's, as he bent to take a better look at the canine. Standing in his characteristic composed manner, as still as a marble statue, he stared back with what could only be described as dignity and character. This man, shrouded in a veil of night, as though a mist had descended on him, intrigued the Pokemon. Where his cerulean eyes were cold and blank, his own fiery red orbs were luminescent and sparking.

It did not go unnoticed that the stranger could pick up on his pokemon's mood enough to calm it when it seemed to be getting agitated by Abyss. The Absol's shoulder cae nearly up to Eve's hip, so she reached over and buried her hand in her canine's thick fur. Strong...? "...I seek strength, yes. But then again, who doesn't?" Perhaps this man was more interesting than intimidating, after all. Then he went on to speak mysteriously of potential, and she dismissed the notion. He was a strange being, ill-fitting in the droll little town. His splendor and stateliness would fit much better in a manor, or other forms of rich dwellings. Her grip tightened on Abyss' fur, and the Absol tensed. Potential? Now that she gave it a thought, she'd never fully appreciated Abyss' company; did she deserve such a companion?

For a short second, the masked man chuckled and looked at the girl. She seemed confused, confused and somewhat pondering about what he had said about Absol's possible potential. His glance went towards Abyss again, before he stood up again, his hand calmly placed upon Furfrou's head, which seemed to calm down the pokémon considerably.

"Where are my manners," The man quickly made an apologetic nod towards the girl. "My name's Felix. Felix Leonis from Hearthome, Sinnoh. What might your name be?"

Eve's clouded gaze cleared, as she began appraising the male again. His statement - no, his question - left no open end for her to escape through. "...Eve. I'm Eve." She offered, with a similarly polite nod. Her grip on Abyss' collar loosened, but she did not offer hand for a shake. Her curiosity, however, got the better of her. Now that he had Abyss out of his head - had she been a little jealous?; the notion was absurd, Abyss had given the man no attention at all - she decided it was her turn, high time to ask questions on her part. "So, Felix," She experimentally spoke out the name, "What brings you to Viridian?" Abyss returned to staring at Furfrou unblinkingly after a quick check at the sun to note the time.

The man obviously hadn't expected the girl to use his name so quickly, but didn't seem averse to eve speaking his name either. However, when she asked the question about why he was in town, he simply smiled gently at her.

"I've been visiting an old friend of mine," he quite honestly replied to her question, leaving out practically all the details though. "And now I was wondering wether or not I should fully use this time to train my Furfrou a bit more, search for some new pokémon and perhaps do a gym challenge or a contest."

His glance started to end up at the Absol again, as he suddenly clapped his hands softly. "Now there's an idea."

Last time he had visited Viridian city was about two years earlier, but he could remember that somewhere along the forest's northern edge, there used to be a training field for pokémon trainers and their pokémon.

"You see, it seems my Furfrou is practically begging to have a fight with your Absol," felix looked at both pokemon for a moment, before taking a better look at Eve and actually out of the kindness of his heart deciding that this girl truly needed some action. "What do you say if we have the two of them face each other in a friendly match?"

[Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den Empty Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den

(Ey! Cheating!)

The teenage couldn't help but wonder who was this mysterious stranger's 'friend'. It wasn't as though she was friends with everyone in the town, but she liked to say she was acquainted with them all. And none of them had mentioned a friend out of town. Regardless, she couldn't resist a small smile spreading across her face when Felic mentioned his indecision. So she wasn't the only one on the fence regarding gym battles and contests.

"Wh-What?" She gasped at his suggestion; Absol and Furfrou fight? For the first time time, she took a good long, hard look at her potential foe. The Furfrou didn't look particularly intimidating, but it was obviously well cared for, in prime health and physical condition. His fur was well-groomed, and looked thick enough to resist physical attacks; this wasn't good - Absol was primarily a physical attacker. And while it didn't look much stronger than Abyss, it was by no means weaker. It actually looked rather sure in its strength.

She nervously laughed, "Ahahah, I don't think that's a good idea. I've only known Abyss for a few days," This was not entirely false, it had been roughly two weeks since they'd met, "And I'm not comfortable pitting him in a battle yet." She firmly spoke, her exterior effectively hiding her interior nervous wreck. Abyss looked up at her, and brushed his head against her hand, causing her to look down. What? You know I don't understand you when you do that.

"Even if you only have known your Absol for just a few days," Felix looked at the Absol and back at Eve, wondering how such a pokemon that seemed to exude confidence and strength could have ever fallen into the hands of such a shy, weak hearted girl. Perhaps it was not so much weakness of her heart, but more a lack of confidence, a lack of belief in herself and her bond with her pokémon. "I can see that your absol wants to get strong to protect you, but its strength will hit a ceiling pretty fast if you don't grow as well, Eve."

Felix' hand ruffled through Furfrou's fur, making the pokemon forget the absol all together and start barking quite happily, yet not without an inherent confidence that could only come from a strong master and pokemon bond which aided in the Furfrou's growth.

"If a person relies only of the strength of others, but never changes their own..." The masked man sighed, while looking at both Abyss and Eve. "They will end up becoming a restriction, a hindrance for those they rely on."

Post by MegaAbsol Sun May 29, 2016 10:53 am

(At this point, I was frantically running damage calcs xD Permission to train a bit more before fighting? You can train some too~ For speed's sake, let's do one post each, so do your best!~ ;3 But if not, I'll hesitantly enter battle o3o And use healing shtuffs) (I don't even have my ideal moveset yet! D: ) (At least a Razor Claw ;w;)
(In any case, Absol's main arsenal is its tendency to crit. Furfrou will crit every 16 moves, but it's half for Absol - every 8 moves. So...rolling dice for determining crits? I believe there's a dice roll option.)
(Mod-sama! I can has quest for Razor Claw? After all this)

Eve bit her lip, taking in the words of advice, but still undecided. Would she really want to pit her pokemon in a battle she knew she probably won't win? The statistics were against her. Abyss brushed against her hand again, this time somewhat insistently. "What?" She knelt by her pokemon - seeing that Felix was pretty much doing the same, she didn't feel as awkward doing that - and held him by either side of the face. Her fingers sank into his fur, and his red eyes bore into hers. "...You idiot. You're really stupid, you know," She whispered quietly, "You really wanna--?" She was cut off, by the Absol pressing his nose against hers, foreheads connected. Eve knew this to be an affectionate gesture; the close eye contact seemed to create a sense of closure. Her eyes fluttered close, and she released Abyss' head, getting to her feet.

Though once she had somewhat decided, determined, it was awkward just spouting out a challenge with thick-headed arrogance, or something of the ike. Unsure of how to bring the topic back up, she blinked a couple of times. Her grip on her bag strap tightened. "...Hey. Does the challenge to fight still stand?"

Felix did not lose the two out of his sight while he was bussy calming down his Furfrou, after all he was more than just interested in seeing what this absol was capable of. Maybe if he played his cards right, this young girl might be a valuable asset for his own dreams and desires, all he had to do for that was try and play on her own desires and that of her pokémon.

"Of course my offer still stands, Eve, The masked man replied to the young girl's inquiry with a gentle smile. "After all, it was I who wanted to see your and your pokémon's skills. Not to mention, what else would one be a trainer for, if not to challenge one's own limits and see how strong we are in the end?"

He calmly ruffled his Furfrou's fur, making it obvious to the canine pokemon that his wish would be granted and there would be a battle indeed. "Shall we go and take a look at the training field?"

(Nya! Argh, you ignored errything in brackets! xD)

Eve tentatively nodded. "Certainly." She knew the terrain as well as he claimed to remember. Quickly repacking her bag neatly, she gave the Absol's back a quick pat and headed off within the forest. At this time of the day, though the shade provided some respite, the closed off quarters, enclosed with leafy branches all around, the weather was quite hot, and the girl could feel the heat radiating off her thick-furred companion. His chest rose and fell rapidly, but he was as silent as ever.

The training field was a large, open area, ill-maintained and being run over with weeds and of the like. It was mostly devoid of major impediments like rocks and trees, which fringed the outline, but a few promising saplings and shrubs existed in a random pattern. Abyss took to curiously pawing the ground; Eve found herself wondering if he had ever visited the area. Here they were.

Felix simply smiled when Eve finally showed some spirit, thinking that this might be something interesting. Finally he would be given the chance to see an absol in all its splendor, but he knew that his furfrou wasn't keen on playing the literal underdog in this match, so testing his pokemon's desire for battle would be quite interesting as well.

"Funny, I've never been here in the guise of a trainer myself," The masked man remarked when he placed himself on the other side of the field. Felix had never been a real trainer so far though. Sure he had graduated from PokéTech and had passed trainer's school with flying colors, but until now it had never been his true passion. Except for watching the contests though, he loved those so much. "Shall we see what'll happen?"

Furfrou let out a ferociously loud bark when it sensed that they were finally going to battle. Finally he could wipe that stoic face off of that Absol.

[Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den Empty Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den

Post by MegaAbsol Wed Jun 01, 2016 6:24 am

Eve exhaled lightly as she turned to walk to the opposing end; was it normal to be challenged right off the bat by a random stranger? It struck her as somewhat whimsical, but now that she was accompanied by a pokemon, she supposed it was part of her new life. Abyss had been contemplatively walking beside her as she crossed the sizeable field, but suddenly turned around, snarling at the Fufrou. Eve whipped around. Apparently a frozen face wasn't all he possessed.

The intent of the snarl is to warn or frighten, and judgment is required to know when it should be used. Abyss knew how to make it and when to make it. Into his snarl he incorporated all that was vicious, malignant, and horrible. With nose serrulated by continuous spasms, fur bristling in recurrent waves, tongue whipping out like a red snake and whipping back again, eyes gleaming hatred, lips wrinkled back, and fangs exposed and dripping, it could compel a pause on the part of almost any assailant. A temporary pause, when taken off his guard, gave him the vital moment in which to think and determine his action. But often a pause so gained lengthened out until it evolved into a complete cessation from the attack.

He suddenly launched himself forward, paws pounding against the earth as he leaped for his white-furred adversary, maw bared to pin his foe, claws flashing forward to slash them through the annoyingly thick and well-maintained fur. In mid-flight, his eyes narrowed to Leer at his foe and attempt to unnerve it further, before enhancing his claws to viciously Scratch at Furfrou.

"Abyss!" Was he trying for a sneak attack? He certainly had the element of surprise. That aside, he'd acted on his own without any orders whatsoever. He was relatively calm during training, but when it came down to tooth and claw fighting, caution seemed hurled to the wind. The opposing canine looked tough, and Eve knew the adolescent Absol's body to be frail. She internally winced; this might turn messy.

The two pokémon seemed to have the same idea: "he who strikes first wins", at least that was what Felix was getting out of it. There had not been much time between the absol's snarl and its immediate leap through the air moments after. Since the masked man did not hear any orders at all, he realized this was all the absol's doing.

As expected from his already eager and angry Furfrou, it wasn't going to wait for Felix' orders anymore either. It braced its legs firmly and ruffled its fur until it stood on end when the absol snarled, showing its teeth and its hate-filled eyes.

"Oh furfrou show this beginner how it's done," Felix practically roared, quite annoyed by the absol's lack of grace. So furfrou simply did show his mettle, by taking on the angry leer of the absol with a Growl of his own and did not resist or dodge the scratch at all. "Just give us the sound of your beautiful bark, Furfrou!!"

Still standing braced and prepared for a decent battle, not counting the absol's sneaky start, the furfrou turned its head towards Eve's pokémon and opened its maw, letting out a loud and devastating bark.

[Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den Empty Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den

Abyss felt his claws rake through the yielding fur of the Furfrou; in his momentary confusion about why there was no resistance, the Growl irritated him, causing his attacks to turn imbalanced and ineffective, and the bark blew him backwards. The sound boom had physically thrown the fragile adolescent a fair amount of distance, but the monochrome canine was quick to get back on his feet.

"Come on, Abyss!" Though her Absol didn't turn his head to look at her, his gaze shifted, implying he was listening. Well, now they were past the rocky start. Abyss growled, and tentatively lifted a front paw to bite out the fur that impeded the appendage; did the Furfrou really have so much fur to spare that it came off with each hit, effectively cushioning it? "Okay, okay. Keep your distance. Future Sight!" She knew the familiar sight of Abyss' eyes glowing bright pink, ready to take on the opposing canine. "Again! Leer!" The glow brightened to tinge with yellow, attempting to intimidate the Fur pokemon.

[Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den Empty Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den

"Starting the hang of it, aren't we?" The masked man laughed, even though his eyes still did not convey a single emotion. "Furfrou, move aside."

After hearing the rather monotone order from felix, the furfrou moved aside right after the absol's eyes had a weird twinkle in them which the furfrou did not understand. Felix on the other hand did not trust any small changes in the absol's eyes and or stance, as such he did not allow his furfrou to be swallowed up in the pokemon's gazes and glances, thus trying to move aside might get the furfrou's mind off of the absol.

"use your speed, furfrou," The masked man continued calmly relaying the orders. the pokémon doing exactly what he said, by starting to move around the absol at a high pace. "Use your echoed voice again!!"

The furfrou suddenly halted right in front of the absol, it's own eyes showing a rather gleeful expression before its maw opened and the roar it let loose was heard all over the training field, louder than it had been before.

The Furfrou was fast; how did it move so much with all that fur? But where the Poodle was fast, Abyss was agile. The glow proceeded to brighten before fading away; a final gift. A bestowed blessing. Almost as though Abyss saw that second round of Echoed Voice coming, he vaulted out of the way, using his powerful haunches to push out of the way, even managing a small flip before landing, and darting towards his opponent. Given that he had jumped clear over Furfrou, he approached him from behind. "Now!" Upon the command, Abyss dissipated out of existence, only to reappear before Furfrou, right before him, and strike a sneaky blow. Feint.

Both Pokemon were agile and strong despite their relative inexperience, blurs of black and white zipping about the clearing field. The battle didn't have long to go, however, as an electric net was suddenly flung forward, wrapping around the duo that were in a close combat tumble with one another. It sent the pair reeling, static running through their dirtied fur. A look towards the brush would see a pair garbed in black, a masked male with short black hair and a woman with a hot pink bob and thick make-up, both wearing belts with one Poke Ball and two locked on respectively. They were sneering maliciously, seemingly unashamed of being seen as the ones responsible for the gatecrash.

Looking at how his Furfrou and Eve's Absol were duking it out, Felix did not smile nor frown. He simply wanted to see what both pokemon were capable of, yet somehow he wondered if they could actually show their potential in such a bland way. There was need of some...excitement, a challenge to actually make them shine.

When the electrical net made a shudder go through Furfrou, the masked man finally gave a soft smile again, even if his eyes remained cold and calculated. he calmly turned towards the duo and looked at their garbs and their belts, seemingly unconcerned with his or Eve's pokemon and more or less wondering if these lowly grunts did not recognize him in this more flamboyant attire of his. He truly hoped they would not realize him to be one of Glassner's key players, but his interest in these two for now had peaked. They could potentially be the ticket he needed to reaffirm himself into the group and this time not as just a shrewd accountant.

"Well, Team rocket comes out to play," The flamboyantly dressed Felix smirked, glancing at Furfrou and Absol for a moment before turning his attention back to the nefariously looking duo. "Let me guess, you guys want the absol?"

What the- The battle was rudely interrupted by the random appearance of two individuals, who promptly threw something on the field with little shame or thought for the battlers. Only when she turned her eyes back to her pokemon did she realize that he was ensnared by a net that was crackling electricity. He was struggling furiously against the indignation of being pinned down and treated this way, but Eve's horror was mute. Abyss!

"Let me guess, you guys want the absol?" Felix's statement made the female's head whip towards him, breathing impeded by a short, sharp gasp. If her eyes could widen anymore, they would have; regardless, as it stood, she found herself wondering at the wry unfairness of it all. It was a tragic comedy, with laughter as mirthless as the Sphinx. She did not know who this 'Team Rocket' were, but what she did know was that they were certainly not taking her Absol.
