"Oh wow, looks like he isn't as stupid as he looks!" The lady of the pair cackled, hands on her shapely hips. Indeed, the black top bore the notorious red 'R' of Team Rocket, and it was an emblem they wore with pride. "Of course we want the Absol, but the Furfrou's a nice bonus! Not many of those in Kanto, you know!"
The pair smugly exchanged looks, and the male set his eyes on them with an intense, mean stare. "Hand over any money and valuables, too. Then we'll let you run off unscathed, to catch new Pokemon another day. Try to cause us any trouble, and we'll put you down and make you regret it." He threatened. The man, at least, looked like he might have some cash. The girl probably had fuck all worth it, but anything was better than nothing.

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
"Furfrou, can you still move?" the masked man asked his pokémon calmly, completely ignoring the two Rocket grunts who demanded him to hand over his valuables and money. The pokémon was obviously annoyed and in pain because of the electrical current in the net, but seemed fine besides that. "Eve, I want you to figure out how to get our pokémon out of that net, let me handle these pests for now."
Placing his hand around the second pokéball he had been carrying ever since his journey in the world of pokémon began, Felix turned his attention back to the two Rocket grunts. "On the contrary, let me make the demands here. You will surrender and be spared the humiliation or you fight and you will be the laughingstock of your organization...take your pick."

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
Abyss was still struggling against the net that bit, and Eve was, for once, glad to have someone direct her into action. She never thought she'd say this, but she was glad Felix was there. Running closer, she slowed when Abyss rang out a warning bark. True enough, when she brought her hand closer, the static jumped to her hand, causing her to yelp and retract her hand. How were they taking that?! A quick cursory glance confirmed that Felix possessed a second pokemon, and was keeping the two occupied.
"Uhm, Abyss, this is going to hurt. Sorry, boy, but give the net a good Scratch!" Flexing his shoulders, thickly armoured with fur and muscle, Abyss lashed out with his claws, which struck resoundingly against the net. Of course, the ropes were metal cords that were channeling the electricity, but she hoped her Absol's brute strength would be enough to decimate the restricting covering. If that were not enough, Abyss suddenly began thrashing roughly, grinning psychotically. "What in the name of- Abyss! Down!" Eve cried, backing off as the net flailed; the Disaster pokemon almost seemed to play with the net. Play Rough.

"Hmm, you know this isn't just performance art, don't you? We'll make your life even more humiliating than it already is!" The pink haired grunt said, plucking a black and white sphere from her belt: a Rocket ball. She didn't wait, releasing a Level 18 Houndour from it, one that snapped and barked and growled on her haunches, dark brown eyes filled with a lust for blood. The net, on the other hand, might have seemed fine from their distance, but a Pokemon like Abyss or an observer as close as Eve might have noticed the sparks weakening slightly, that the lines were showing minor signs of fray.

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
Seeing as Eve seemed to be able to handle the net, Felix was glad he could focus mainly on the problem in front of him, especially when the rocket girl released a rather vicious looking houndour. Felix liked Houndours and really wanted to have a houndoom of his own one day, bit not one as unruly and plainly said ugly as this one.
"Furfrou, try to headbut your way out of that net and try to take as much of the electricity on your fur, make it easier for the absol to break free!!" the masked man yelled towards his trusty pokemon, quickly throwing down his own second pokéball so he could concentrate on a more pressing issue: how to make those two Rocket Grunts understand the situation they were in. "Chansey, come out dear and give us a spectacle."
The recently cought chansey appeared as expected, showing off her healthy pink gleam, though wondering what in the blazes was going on, until she saw Felix and happily started to wobble a bit.
"Listen up girl, see those two badly dressed idiots?" Felix wasn't going to sugarcoat his words in front of these nincompoops, but they did get chansey's attention, as she was quite unwilling to fight in usual moments. However, despite chansey's own beliefs, she was his best gamble at this point. "They hurt the Furfrou that helped you out against that mean Roselia, they interrupted his fight and they think they can get away with that. Now, why won't you show them how pokémon are supposed to fight?"

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
"Keep going! Keep going!" Eve had even managed to overcome her own fear of being electrocuted to death, and though she'd flinched repeatedly, she;d finally managed to grab hold of the net and tug sturdily. The snare seemed deeply entrapped, and she knew the two furry pokemon inside were absorbing all the electricity they could, Furfrou taking the brunt of it. Simply to keep her and Abyss safe. Abyss snarled his indignation, and in a daring move, bit down on the wire, cringing as the static passed through him, but unrelenting with his sharp teeth.
This. This was why she should have packed a knife or something. Of the many regrets Eve had, this definitely topped her list. "Abyss! Use your horn!" She called to her Absol over the deafening sound of static on flesh. The horn was rumored to be able to cut through anything. Time to put that theory to the test, Eve grimly considered, as the electricity now connected with his extended horn, rather than directly through his mouth. It did, she idly noted, act a bit like a lightningrod, and she had known Absol to learn Electric moves. Surely the thin strips of metal wouldn't hold an Absols horn as well as its claws?

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
The sight of such a well-kept Chansey made the grunts' eyes gleam with greed. All Felix seemed to be doing was egging them on, creating an inconvenient appeal for himself! That was probably not the way for a future coordinator to go on! As it was, though, he might have had an advantage: What Chansey may have lacked in battle passion, she would surely make up for in being a natural tank.
"Alright, Houndour, howl and smog!" The grunt commanded of her charge, and the Pokemon let out an intimidating, long howl. As it came to an end, the canine spewed toxic gas from its mouth, the cloud funneling towards the lucky Pokemon and her trainer. The Rocket's attention was stolen, though, by the cutting of the net by Absol's horn and the force of Furfrou. Both Pokemon's fleeces were in disarray from the static.
"Shit. Fine. We'll just put end this the old fashioned way." The man scowled. From his own Rocket Ball came a Koffing, the levitating male at level 17. This was going to be the training match Eve never bargained for!

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
It was time for action, but with Furfrou not in tip top shape and Eve's absol probably running low on steam as well, Felix had to decide how to handle things on his part. He could make this a three vs two though, at least if Eve was willing to do her part. In the mean time, the masked man had to figure it out on his own.
"Furfrou, get over here and use echoed voice, show that houndour who's got the mightiest voice!!" Keeping a hand in front of his mouth just to be certain, Felix' mind went into overdrive, trying to come up with the most effective plan for the moment. "Chansey, use Heal bell and try to charm that houndour!!"

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
Abyss had broken free! Savouring the feel of freedom again, he lightly headbutted Eve, affectionately purring. "Glad you're alright, boy," Eve whispered, holding his head close, before whipping around in surprise as a Koffing was released to be her adversary. "Darkrai wept!" She cursed, getting to her feet. Abyss was no doubt exhausted, but his feet stood firm, his gaze determined. It was the deep rise and fall of his flank that gave it away. It was not a wound that could be healed by a Potion; only rest could replenish the energy he'd lost, and that they had none of. All she could do was compensate with this. "Here. This will give you a small boost." Holding out one of the sweets Warrod had given her, she figured the chocolate from the Sweet Heart would provide him a short-lived burst of energy. Abyss hesitated a moment before scarfing it down. "Good boy, now show him what you got!" Tapping the Absol on his back, he shot off to face the Koffing. The wind streaked through his ruffled fur, setting it into a stream-lined shape.
"Strike first! Feint!" She called, even as he faded; it would be presumptuous to call it invisibility, but he was certainly not visible. At least not until he materialized behind the Gas ball, to attempt and strike a devastating blow. As far as looks went, the Koffing looked light and weak. But that was no reason to underestimate the better trained foe. Felix's two pokemon were handling the Houndour, and while he pined to join in and quickly finish off the dark canine so that the three would stand against the Koffing rather than her Absol solely facing off against it, the unengaged Poison type could interfere in their battling. Poison type... "Abyss! Future Sight!" Though her initial fight with the Furfrou had never ended, and she had yet to see the force of the attack on a sentient being, it was the best gamble she had, type-wise. Abyss' eyes began to glow a telltale pink.

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
Furfrou's voice resounded around the battlefield, echoing through the forest, sending Pokemon running and fluttering from their places and into the distance. The Houndour cringed, its sensitive hearing irritated, a small but still noticable amount of its vitality affected. The Chansey, on the other hand, was doing nothing. A Pokemon raised in the way the dog was would not be charmed by such a sublime sound, although both Furfrou and Abyss seemed charmed by it - not distracted, but perhaps any frayed nerves were calmed, which could only be a good thing.
"Hah! What's that supposed to do?!" Felix's opponent laughed, the woman pointing to Furfrou, ignoring the singing Clefairy, "Sic 'em, girl! Smog, and then burn its fur with ember!" Without a hint of mercy, more poison was spat forth, the gas flowing towards Furfrou. And then, through the cloud, the black dog emerged, spitting shots of fire from its burning jaws.
-
The Koffing, on the other hand, seemed fine for that moment. This relieved the grunt, although he was staring on suspiciously, wondering what it was the Absol had done. "Don't take any notice, Koffing. Use poison gas, weaken it while it's down, and try a tackle!" His Pokemon began to release noxious fumes from its filmy form, and then rushed at Abyss.
Houndour - 81%
Koffing - 87%
All other Pokemon - 100%
((Too lazy for sprites, shoot me. Sorry this was late, was out all of Saturday and so exhausted on Sunday because of said Saturday and work! Felix, make sure to address attacks in your post. That Houndour struck at Furfrou twice and you ignored them both.))

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
Felic laughed when he noticed the Houndour actually cringed when Furfrou let out its sublime echoed voice, which showed that the training he had and the repetitive use only sharpened and strengthened the sound of it. However, he did grit his teeth a bit when noticing chansey's charms were wasted on pokémon that had grown up under harsh conditions.
Sure, Felix was harsh and demanding of his pokémon as well, but he saw value in at least making sure they weren't lacking in encouragement and willpower, making sure that they listened to his every command, not only through fear and domination, but also through respect, he was their boss and as their boss he made sure that they became strong.
"Change of plans chansey," The masked man smiled when saying that, realizing he had yet to show his pokemons' true potential and with Eve's absol in the clear as well, it was time to beat these no good punks and show them that they'd have to do better next time. After all, someone who worked closer with Heinrich Glassner than any of them would ever do, should've been superior any time of the week. [color:164e=#indigo]"Get in front of furfrou and use heal bell and follow up with softboiled to replenish yourself."
Chansey seemed a bit reluctant, but then again, it was for Furfrou and Felix that she was fighting now and she wasn't going to be some useless ballast in this game, she was going to prove her worth and gain more love from the two who helped her and saved her.
"Furfrou, it's time to show our secret weapon," For a moment, the masked man looked towards Eve and her absol, knowing that he wanted to use this move as his ace in a hole against that rather powerful pokémon of hers, but now he had to use it against some houndour that was hardly elegant or powerful enough to impress Felix, though he did have to commend the woman on her tactics. "Use mimic on that annoying mutt's ember and give him some backfire of its own and follow up with a good ol' fashioned headbutt!!"
The Furfrou simply barked, it's eyes glowing red for a short moment to scan the ember, before launching it back towards the houndour from its own mouth, after which it tensed its hind legs and got ready to clash with the black pokemon.

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
(Ah! My Feint was ignored! D:)
Eve momentarily looked aside to check how Felix was doing, leaving Abyss to his own device. The Absol didn't require any instructions on how to dodge, but the fact that he found himself too close to the Koffing saw him at a disadvantage, and soon the virulent fumes had surrounded him. "No, Felix! Houndour absorb Fire attacks! It makes them stronger!" The female shouted, referring to a Houndour's common ability, Flash Fire. Turning back, she gasped, stepping back several steps to avoid the thick, pulsating cloud. "Abyss! Hold your breath!" The Absol was struggling already, trying to keep his watering eyes open long enough to find his way out. Hearing his trainer's voice, he blindly charged forward, leaping clear of the cloud, legs trembling, digging his claws in to come to a dead stop right in front of Eve. "You okay?" The trainer bent over, to inspect him, but he roughly thrust her hand away, turning to protect her, keeping his side to the Koffing and subsequently receiving a sturdy Tackle on said side.
Damn it all to the Distortion World. "Abyss! Go intervene in their battle! Play Rough that Houndour!" She called, directing the fuzzy-eyed Absol with a point of her hand; she noted that his body temperature seemed to be gradually rising to fever-pitch, and he was having trouble breathing. Had he been poisoned? Her grip on her bag tightened, and her gaze quivered as Abyss ran off to viciously attack the Houndour with a super-effective move. His movements seemed relatively slow and sluggish, but they were still reminiscent of the agile mannerism of fore.
The Absol could see relatively well, at least enough to reliably distinguish between black and white. It was simple; Houndour was black, Furfrou was white. Keeping his distance to allow his allied furry pokemon to execute his attack, he intended to jump in in the lieu of the attack; was that a sort of strategy? Was he capable of forming calculated thoughts? Regardless, as it stood, if they could get the enemy canine out of the way, all fire could be focused on the Koffing, who had a nasty surprise coming for him.
(Note that Future Sight triggers next turn, aka when Nishy posts again, I guess. Also, second note to Nishy: Don't forget Absol's likelihood to crit. Currently one in 8, with Razor Claw, one in 2 (No, he doesn't have a Claw right now))

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
((I added feint into the last post's percentage. Thanks for the reminder. I've found a decent damage calculator to use, so being reminded of this info is handy since you know I'm shit with this stuff!))
As the saying went, tables could turn, and the situation had gone from worrying to the exact, embarrassing spectacle that Felix Leonis had promised to these Rocket grunts. Of course, Eve was right: the returned ember was only going to ignite Houndour's flash fire, and that was what it did. The dog's fur took on a burning orange glow for a moment, the canine's eyes burning with power-- but it didn't last long enough to matter. It was a blink and miss it scenario. Abyss and Furfrou struck in tandem, colliding with the enemy as well as each other. Houndour took most of the force, flung off against a tree trunk. It did not get back up.
"What the--?! What the hell is that?! What the hell is this?! That's not fair! You little bitches!" The woman roared. "Koffing-- Koffing get them-- Eh?!"
When the pair looked over, the poison type was unconscious, too. Such was the power of a critical future sight.
"Uh oh."
"Damnit, we've got to retreat! Let's go!"
The pair recalled their Pokemon, scrambling desperately to escape. In their hysteria, they didn't realise that they had left some cash behind, a silken scarf or a small, claw object that was razor sharp. Both trainers had enough to split it as $500 PD each! Abyss earned 23 experience, Furfrou 6 and Chansey the same! It was a very successful battle, with optimum teamwork! Good for them.

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
Though extremely annoyed by the fact that the absol had taken away the glory of combat from furfrou and chansey, Felix did not show this to much in his expressions, recalling Chansey to her pokéball and tossed the money and the claw-like object towards Eve.
"Next time, do not worry about me," The masked man sighed, though making sure that Absol and the girl weren't hurt 'too' much during the experience. His desire to battle the absol had faded though, but he was still interested enough to realize that if that last attack had hit furfrou, the battle might've been decided. He still had to get stronger, much stronger and the gyms were a good way of doing so. "I was thinking of going to Pewter city pretty soon, you should think about your future as well, Eve. You've shown to be a capable trainer, but the road to the top is long and riddled with obstacles. Who knows, in the end it might be you versus me again."
Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
Eve fumed, considering whether to give chase to the goons or not. Considering the sugar high had worn off and Abyss was doddering, she decided maybe not. Falling to her knees, she inspected the coughing canine. "Hold on, boy. I'll get you some medicine." Knowing she had none on her being, she tried recalled the unprotesting Absol to his pokeball, to prevent further harm to him. Though Abyss didn't resist, he seemed unwilling to return. At least, until he caught the claw Felix tossed out of the air. The cash fell to the ground, ignored, and Eve picked it up. "What?" She carefully looked at the claw, up and down, and decided that Abyss could keep it if he had a penchant for razor sharp stuff. He had caught it skillfully enough, without hurting himself, and even deigned to allow himself to be stowed away in his prison. Ah, the indignity. Chuckling slightly, she got to her feet, turning to her previous battle partner.
"Oh! Sorry, I didn't mean to intervene. It's just that some help with the Koffing would have been nice..." She trailed off, awkwardly toeing the ground; Abyss had taken down the gas ball on his own, as well as assisting with the Houndour. It didn't seem he had needed all that much help. "...Pewter city? The one just ahead? It's a few days trek through the forest," She pointed; it was in the opposite direction to her house, and the unfamiliar forest was thick and forbidding. "There are quite a lot of bugs in there," She added thoughtfully. Truth be told, she was talking more to herself than anyone else, and had failed to give serious thought to 'her future', as Felix cryptically told her. In order to keep pushing their limits, they required a challenge. Something to collect, and display as a mark of their strength. Eve could think of only two - ribbons from contests, and gym badges from battles.
"...As a matter of fact, I'm going to Pewter too. Of course, I have to meet someone first," Eve could have kicked herself; she forgot to go meet Warrod! She still had to collect her PokeDex from the Professor too! Argh! "I-ll...I'll be back soon!" She figured if she sprinted all the way, she'd reach the lab soon, heal Abyss, meet Warrod, get PokeDex, all in a whirl. Waving a farewell, she turned, and began running.

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
With the girl trailing off to go and get the stuff she needed before she could actually take any sort of trip, Felix was contemplating what to do next. Well, since he had offered to travel along with her, he had better help his Furfrou a bit and perhaps later on he could try and see if there were some bugs to stomp out while waiting for Eve to return.
His thoughts did waver though. Those rockets had quite strong pokemon, which he had not expected and during the fight, Furfrou did not have many moments to shine, especially not with that absol taking all the spotlights. Though he loved to own an absol as well some day, he could not blame Furfrou and himself for feeling slightly dissatisfied. "If you're feeling well enough, we might as well stretch our legs a bit and get some work done. We need to be much stronger if we want to catch that organization's eye in a more permanent matter. There focus needs to be on us, not on that absol."
Spraying a potion on Fufrou, the masked man hoped it would suffice to make the pokémon at least slightly better before trying to have a stroll through the grass, which they of course did while waiting for Eve to arrive.

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
Eve trying to sprint through an entire city, route and town probably would have led to failure and injury, but at least luck was on her side despite the owning of a disaster Pokemon (and one who'd taken some damage, no less). Not far from the forest entrance, on its outside in the fresh summer sunlight, stood the familiar sight of Warrod with his Leafeon, speaking to someone who was certainly familiar to most - it was Professor Oak! His grey hair had been recently trimmed, sandy coloured trousers thin for the season and paired with a lighter material red work shirt beneath the lab coat. The two seemed engaged in friendly conversation, until Warrod stole attention away.
"Oh, look, there she is! My little lass, better late than never!" He chortled, and Leafeon chimed in greeting.
"So this is the new trainer you were talking about! Miss Iridescence, I'm sorry I left you hanging without warning. I had urgent business to run off to and it seems like my assistants never got back to you..." Professor Oak looked mildly guilty, but extended a hand regardless, "My name is Professor Oak, and I brought some presents for you today!"
-
The potion would indeed lift Furfrou's health and spirits, and as the minutes passed he would noticeably perk up and begin to walk properly again. Traversing the forest, Felix would find multiple young Pidgey, likely not long hatched, although old enough to be able to fly and wander safely from their nests. There was audible buzzing as well, as a Beedril scoured the trees and flowers, minding its own business and hard at work.

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
Noticing the various different pokemon, Felix sighed given the fact he really wanted to have furfrou blow off some steam. However, despite his rather cold demeanor he saw no sense in having the pokémon fight against some fledgling pidgeys, the beedrill on the other hand could've been an interesting match though for Furfrou.
It took the masked man a few seconds though, thinking through wether or not he'd have furfrou attack the bug. Yet, as the matter of his pokémon's strength and growth rushed through his mind, Felix pointed at the beedrill and looked at Furfrou.
"Let's at least give you a challenge," The masked man laughed, making sure to pat the furry pokémon for a second on the head. "Let's see how tough it is, use growl Furfrou."
The furry pokémon clenched its teeth and started to growl loudly at the beedrill, though there was no certainty that the relatively large bug pokémon would even react.

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
Ignoring the leaves whipping at and past her face, Eve sprinted on, wind trailing through her lengthy hair. Strands escaped, leaving her hair disheveled and unruly. At least the long locks were naturally straight; but despite all this, she was a sight as she barreled into the clearing, nearly running into Warrod and Professor Oak. "Warrod! Professor!" She gasped, before Abyss struck. Well, alright, he didn't; disaster did. The clumsy teen caught her foot on a convenient root, causing her to promptly trip and barrel to the ground. One might wonder how this hadn't happened before.
Her clothes and hair pooled around her as she flung out her arms to protect herself, the end product being that besides some scratches and cuts on her hands and arms, she was relatively unharmed. "Owowowie~~" She whined, sitting up straighter. Sure, she was sprawled across the forest floor, oblivious to the two likely curious old men, but never did she miss a moment to complain. "Oh! Warrod, Professor, Leafeon! Uhm, hi~" She grinned sheepishly, taking her time getting off the floor. When she finally accomplished the Herculean feat, she dusted her stinging hands off equally dusty pants, and extended her own hand for Professor to shake.
"Ahaha, sorry I'm late," She spoke guiltily, nodding at Warrod and sneaking a smile at Leafeon. "Oh, no worries, Professor! Warrod sir here helped me a lot!" She grinned up to the apologetic Oak, in the hopes to reassure him. The ball at her waist weakly wiggled; Abyss. Was he alright? In her haste, she forgot to shield him as she fell, but she didn't feel a sphere dig into her side. "I'm sorry, Professor," She cut him off in her haste, "but I really need to use your healing machine. It's an emergency!" She pleaded, annoyed to feel tears pooling in her eyes. She blinked them away, hoping they hadn't been too noticeable for the moment that they existed.

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
Of course the Beedrill responded, even to something as petty as a growl. Its species were generally short-fused and aggressive, and this one was trying to do its job. Not to mention there was a little Weedle nearby, one that it might have been the father to, and likely a hive not far off as well. The Pokemon hovered in reverse and then turned on the Furfrou, the level fifteen focusing its energy to increase critical hits before setting upon the fluffy opponent with a violent fury attack.

"Oh! Eve! Are you alright?!" Warrod looked concerned, but wasn't exactly the most mobile to help. Leafeon moved, nudging the girl encouragingly as she picked herself up off the floor, happy to be leaned on if necessary or to help lift her. As it was, she was young and sprightly, and so didn't need its aid. Her spirits were rather dampened, though.
"Well, my healing machine is all of the way back in Pallet Town, I'm afraid, but I'm sure I can restore your Pokemon right here if you show them to me!" Professor Oak offered. It saved them walking back to the city to the Pokemon Centre, anyway. "I heard from Warrod here that you captured an Absol! They're extremely rare, especially here! That's quite a feat for a new trainer, so congratulations! And don't you worry-- all Pokemon take a fall now and then, but you obviously love and care for yours. A bit of patching up and all will be well!"

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
- Spoiler:
"finally, some fun," The masked man said, while Furfrou realized it as well when the beedrill turned and seemed to get pumped up for a fight. The loud growling stopped immediately, with the furfrou bracing itself, tensing the muscles in its legs. "Wait for it, wait for it...GO, use headbutt!!"
It had to be timed perfectly, making sure that the beedrill was close enough and on a collision course with furfrou, before the pokémon would actually jump with the aim of hitting the bug pokemon with it's head. After all, a short fused pokemon probably didn't think as much as Felix or furfrou did...well mostly Felix at least.

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
Eve managed a discreet scratch behind the Leafeon's ears as she got to her feet; the adorable Grass type was irresistible! Regardless, thought for that later - she turned over her Absol's ball to Professor, relieved to know he could heal him. "Here! This is my Absol," She paused as Oak commented on how rare Absols were - so he knew. Just how much had they discussed her before she arrived? She tilted her head, but continued anyways, "And he's been poisoned. I think he's taken some damage in the time I took to come here," She bit her lip, frustrated, taking a moment before carrying on, "It wouldn't have happened if I'd paid attention..." Truthfully, her focus had wavered as she turned to check on Felix; a cloud, a slow-moving, dense body was easily avoided. And her own tardiness was to blame for his quiet suffering in his ball. If only she could have reached sooner...
She blinked again, casting aside thoughts and doubts alike. "Thank you, Professor. I was afraid I wouldn't do a good job with my first pokemon..." She found no suitable way to end the conversation, especially as Professor seemed to be praising her a lot. She shifted uneasily as she felt her modesty shattering.

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
Furfrou had waited well, and so its headbutt struck on point, although the fury attack did, too: three strikes got in, although the damage was minimal compared to the severe headbutt, which had the Beedrill already looking weak. The bug type flew out of the way, hardening its body for some extra security, before firing off a set of poison stings, erring now on the side of safety.

Beedrill - 33%

Leafeon made a cry of delight, rubbing against the legs of her human friend, circling around as her leafy tail swished. Professor Oak released Abyss, producing a full restore spray from the pocket of his coat. "Hello there, Absol. Your trainer told me you've ran into some trouble, but this should do the trick." He smiled, breaking the cap to begin easing the dark-type's wounds, "So tell me, what do you both intend to do on your journey, hm? Gyms, contests, collect Pokemon? Breed, perhaps?"

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
Furfrou yelped a bit, jumping back and landing on it's legs after getting stung a few times. Even if the damage was not to be considered severe, a beedrill was still a fully evolved pokémon and thus a stronger opponent than a weedle or caterpie.
"Good call Furfrou," The masked man complemented his furfrou for keeping itself ready for any possible counter. It was always quite a treat to see the furfrou go from his usual rather lazy and aloof behavior to its nature in battle. So regarding the Beedrill, Felix wanted to make quick work of such icky beasts (he really did not like bug pokemon). "Use sand attack and follow it up by your signature move, Echoed voice!!"
The furfrou quickly turned it's back to the beedril, using its paws to whip up the dirt towards the bug pokémon, before turning around again and letting out a very loud bark.

Re: [Encounter/plot/open] The lion returns to its den
(Dat Leafeon <3)
Abyss seemed nonplussed as he was released, doddering slightly on his unsteady legs. Eve dropped to her knees to help her pokemon, but he pushed her away, the foolish, proud young Pokemon. His eyes were beginning to blur, and his breathing was laboured. Beneath that thick fur, a fever was raging, but the Full Restore did the trick. Within minutes his body eased up, knotted muscles loosening, breath lightening, and he lay down on his belly to solemnly recover. He tilted his head towards Oak, reiterating a quiet 'Sol' in thanks.
Eve breathed a sigh of relief, her own heart rate settling. What, this again? Everybody and their uncle was interested in her future now that she had a pokemon. Not that she was blaming anyone; she loved travelling with Abyss, and she quite liked the attention she received with the magnificent specimen by her side. "Well, I was thinking of going the Trainer way, collecting Gym Badges, with a side serving of Coordinator. I mean, I can do both, right?" She managed a smile, somewhat anxious for the answer.
